I was quite tired for the past few days, and so I decided to delay this blogpost... It was about the last CF, when Yong Kee and Boy shared about their testimonies, and the juniors were divided into groups to serve in CF.
There was also short presentation and sharing by Bro. David Story. He is an american musician and songwriter. His guitar skills are way too awesome... >.<
That night, he shared about "Identity", and what he shared really inspired me.
Is it being a scholar, who only excel in studies?
Or is it measured by the possession you have?
Is it the hopes that you live for?
If it's any of these, then I guess you are just working and chasing blindly for something that's so unrealistic, so temporary. All of these can just be taken away within seconds...And yet, it's still very easy for us to find our own identity in things that we can do and achieved.
But if you find your identity and place all your hope in Him, it will definitely be everlasting. God is always that promising (:
Never ever find your identity through things you dislike the most, like your shortcomings, sins you've committed, bad habits... Cause as long as you continue to seek your identity in Him, He will make you whole, and He will cleanse you off your past....
Stop living in a world of false hope, which will vanish anytime, even without us realising it....
Our true identities are being the followers of Christ. We are who we are because of Him, and in Him we are made whole.
For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.
So you also are complete through your union with Christ,
who is the head over every ruler and authority.
~Colossians 2 : 9-10~
P/S: I shared during campus revolution yesterday (:
